   One of the most used items in our household is adhesive tape in all its different formats. Having used polypropylene tape for a number of years I was interested to try out this PVC tape from Triplast.
   Supplied in 48mm wide x 66m long roll it resembles standard sellotape in looks. However, when you unroll a length it’s obviously a very different beast. The tape appears to have a ‘web’ type construction and as such is a lot stronger and more difficult to tear than standard packing tape.
   It’s transparent so it can be used over labels, which is a major drawback with standard brown polypropylene tape and, as an added bonus, it fits my packaging tape dispenser.
   Good item.

   What you have here is a roll of wide, clear tape.

   In terms of its ruggedness and toughness it seems considerably hardier than many other clear tapes you find – tapes like ‘selotape’ for example. That said, there are NON-clear tapes tgat certainly match it in this regard – and I find myself wondering whether there really is that much benefit from having a packing tape that is clear. In truth I’ve used brown, self-adhesive packing tape for years and rarwly (if ever) found myself wishing it was clear.

   Still – it will do the job and do it well. Recommended.

   I thought this was suppose to be “Heavy Duty” but it dosen’t feel like it to me as I’ve been using much cheaper tape then this and apart from being much more tape on the reel (3 times as much as average) its not any thicker to me its about the same.

   I actually expected this to be like Amazon’s packing tape (with the nylon thread running through) so was a little disappointed when it arrived looking like extra wide sellotape. Cut it and you won’t really notice anything unusual, but tear it with your teeth and you will notice it is thicker. Try to tear it with your hands and it just seems to stretch!
   The sticky side could be stickier, hence 4 stars instead of 5. But if you use enough, you don’t need to worry about it coming unstuck.

   This is a nice, thick, and very sturdy vinyl tape that lives up to its billing as ‘heavy duty’. It holds well and actually reinforces seams on packing containers which is an added bonus. It would have been nice to get more than one roll!
